*Position Details*
* *Position:* NICU Registered Nurse (RN)
* *Location:* Syracuse, NY _(must reside 50+ miles from facility to qualify for travel rates)_
* *Department:* Level III or IV NICU
* *Start Date:* ASAP (within 2 weeks or once cleared)
* *Contract Length:* 16 Weeks (with extension potential)
* *Schedule:* 12-Hour Shifts – *Day *
* *Hours per Week:* 36
*Key Responsibilities*
* Deliver expert, compassionate care to premature and critically ill newborns in a high-acuity NICU setting
* Monitor vital signs, oxygenation, and respiratory function using advanced neonatal equipment
* Administer medications, IVs, blood products, and feedings using neonatal-specific protocols
* Respond to emergencies, including resuscitations, ventilator adjustments, and rapid changes in patient condition
* Collaborate with neonatologists, respiratory therapists, and other team members on individualized care plans
* Document care accurately using *Cerner EMR* (preferred)
* Support and educate families navigating emotionally difficult moments
*Requirements – MUST HAVE:*
* *Active and Clear NY RN License*
* *BLS, NRP, and PALS certifications – REQUIRED*
* *MUST have 3+ years of recent Level III or IV NICU experience*
* Cerner experience preferred
* Strong clinical skills, emotional resilience, and ability to thrive under pressure
* Team-oriented mindset with excellent communication
