Medical Technologist - Lab Technologist at Henry Ford hospital
Duration : 13 weeks
(Likely to extend, possibility of full-time conversion)- Schedule :
- Days/Week : 5
- Hours/Day : 8
- Hours/Week : 40
- Initial Training : Mon–Fri, 6:30 AM or 7:00 AM for 6–8 weeks
💼 Job Responsibilities
- Perform routine and complex tests on blood/body fluids
- Work with manual techniques and lab instruments
✅ Requirements
Experience :
- Required :
- Minimum 3–5 years in medical lab (hematology preferred)
- Experience with fluid cell counts and differentials
- Tech certification
- Preferred :
- Hematology Specialist Certification
Education :
- Bachelor’s in:
- Medical Technology
- Medical Laboratory Sciences
- Clinical Laboratory Sciences
- OR Chemistry, Microbiology, or Biology (if coursework aligns)
- Foreign degrees must be NACES-evaluated
Certifications :
- Preferred : ASCP, NCA, ASM, AABB, ACS, HEW (technologist level)
