Job Description
Role: QC Microbiologist
Contract: 7 Months
Location: IL
Responsibilities:
- Perform microbiological testing on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products.
- Conduct environmental monitoring (EM) of cleanrooms and production areas.
- Execute sterility testing, microbial limit testing, and endotoxin testing.
- Support validation of aseptic processes and cleaning procedures.
- Identify and investigate microbial contamination sources.
- Maintain accurate documentation and reports as per GMP standards.
- Assist in audits, regulatory inspections, and CAPA implementation.
- Ensure compliance with pharmacopeial and regulatory guidelines (e.g., USP, FDA, WHO).
Requirements:
- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Microbiology or related life sciences field.
- 6-7 years of experience in a pharmaceutical or biotechnology environment (freshers may be considered for entry-level roles).
- Knowledge of aseptic techniques, GMP, and microbiological testing methods.
- Familiarity with equipment like autoclaves, incubators, laminar airflow units, etc.
- Strong documentation and analytical skills.
- Ability to work in a cleanroom and follow safety protocols.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in sterile or injectable product facilities.
- Knowledge of regulatory standards (FDA, EU GMP, ICH).
- Basic understanding of quality assurance (QA) and quality control (QC) processes.
