Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Project Engineer with expertise in paper making to join our dynamic team in Waco. This role is a unique opportunity for an individual passionate about engineering innovations to drive mechanical projects and improvements within our manufacturing operations. Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage mechanical projects related to paper machines, power and recovery systems, and OCC plants. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement capital improvements aligned with business goals. Design and oversee the installation of electrical and mechanical systems within the plant. Analyze equipment specifications and performance requirements to develop feasible design solutions. Evaluate the feasibility and cost-effectiveness of new plant equipment designs or modifications. Provide technical guidance on manufacturing processes, materials, and engineering planning. Coordinate and direct the construction and enhancement of plant systems and machinery. Troubleshoot mechanical issues in collaboration with maintenance teams. Lead projects involving piping systems, structural steel, and civil design elements. Research and analyze design proposals to ensure compliance with engineering standards. Investigate equipment failures and recommend solutions to improve reliability and performance. Support safety, quality, environmental, and continuous improvement objectives within the plant. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. Experience in the paper making industry is essential; candidates with corrugated backgrounds will not be considered. Previous experience with startup projects is highly advantageous.
