JOB TITLE: Practice Manager
REPORTS TO: Deputy Executive Director

GENERAL FUNCTION: The Oncology/Hematology Practice Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the oncology and hematology practice. This role ensures the delivery of high-quality patient care, efficient practice management, and compliance with healthcare regulations. Supervise the front desk, referrals, schedulers, navigators, patient accounts, prior authorizations specialists. Collaborates and coordinates with other departments – Billing & Coding, IT, Medical Records, Clinical Leadership.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
• Oversee the daily operations of the practice, including scheduling, patient flow, and resource allocation.
• Manage and/or support clinical and administrative staff, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
• Collaboratively work with administrative and clinical leadership to develop and manage budgets, monitor financial performance, and implement cost-effective measures.
• Ensure seamless coordination of patient care, including appointment scheduling, treatment planning, and follow-up care.
• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards, including HIPAA and OSHA.
• Work with Quality/Compliance team to implement and monitor quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and practice efficiency.
• Handle and resolve patient complaints in a timely manner in collaboration with the Quality/Compliance department.
• Responsible for coordinating equipment maintenance according to manufacture recommendations and more often if needed.
• Provide input and proposals for improved operational efficiencies to Deputy Executive Director.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to achieve practice goals and improve patient outcomes.
• Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS (EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE): Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business administration, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred. Minimum of 5 years of experience in healthcare management. Experience in an oncology or hematology setting required. At least two years of direct supervision experience required. Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Proficiency in practice management software and EHR systems.
