Job Title: Payroll and Benefits Specialist

Location: Hybrid – Winston-Salem, NC (3 days in-office / 2 days WFH)

Employment Type: Full-Time

Overview:

Our client, based in Winston-Salem, NC , is seeking a Payroll and Benefits Specialist to join their Human Resources team. This role is responsible for processing payroll, administering benefits, and supporting overall employee experience through accurate and timely service. This is a 3/2 hybrid position , with 3 days onsite and 2 days remote each week.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process biweekly payroll for all employees using Paylocity , ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable laws.
  • Maintain and update employee records related to compensation, benefits, and deductions.
  • Administer benefit programs including health, dental, vision, 401(k), FSA/HSA, and leave of absence tracking.
  • Provide timely support to employees regarding payroll and benefits inquiries.
  • Assist with open enrollment, benefits renewals, and related communications.
  • Prepare payroll reports and reconcile benefits invoices in coordination with Finance and HR.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll and benefits regulations.
  • Support audits, filings, and reporting as required.

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in payroll and benefits administration.
  • Prior experience with Paylocity is strongly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of payroll processes, tax regulations, and employee benefits.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with a high degree of professionalism.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Work Arrangement:

This role follows a 3/2 hybrid schedule , with three (3) days per week required in the Winston-Salem office and two (2) days remote.
