Our client is seeking part-time crew members to assist clients/property owners with water, mold, smoke, bio-hazard disasters.
They help home and business owners recover from unexpected disasters.
As a mitigation crew member, your responsibilities involve demolition tasks (tear out carpet, drywall, insulation, padding, etc.), setting up and monitor drying equipment (air movers, dehumidifiers, air scrubbers, etc.), water extractions.

Qualifications
- MUST have experience in the restoration field to be considered
- Experience with mitigation protocols
- Experience with remediation protocols
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Knowledge of how buildings are constructed
- Ability to use an iPad, smartphone apps, and send/receive emails
- A valid driver's license is required
- Must pass a background screening
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to problem solve and follow detailed instructions
- Physical stamina/ability to perform all aspects of this job (standing for extended periods, lifting up to 50+ pounds, bending, kneeling, reaching, etc.)
Responsibilities
- This position requires individuals who are knowledgeable, highly skilled, organized, and detail-oriented
- Crew member/Technicians will follow specific protocols while performing mitigation and mold remediation duties, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations
- Drive a company vehicle to the job site in the North and Western Suburbs
- Load and unload equipment and supplies from the vehicle to the worksite
- Clear the work site by moving or covering furniture
- Pack and remove personal property from the site and unload it at the warehouse
- Follow mitigation protocols/scope of work provided by project managers
- Notify lead technicians if hidden damage is discovered
- Perform demolition including, not limited to, removing damaged or wet building materials that have been affected by fire, water, smoke, or mold
- Set up drying equipment
- Take photos and meticulously document your job site in our cloud-based system
- Take moisture readings to ensure that building materials are properly drying to drying standards
- Follow all Environmental Protection Agency and other applicable federal, state, and local regulations for disposal of wastewater and chemicals
- Perform all work to meet or exceed applicable federal, state, and local regulations
- Read and comprehend all applicable SDS sheets for chemicals that require special handling and use of Personal Protective Equipment
- Comply with all verbal and written safety practices including the use and maintenance of personal protective equipment
- Adhere to IICRC standards when performing mitigation
- Clean and maintain equipment
- Maintain a clean warehouse and clean work vehicle
- Provide exceptional customer service
- Maintain a professional appearance
- Show up on time, in a uniform, and ready to work
