POSITION: Direct Support Assistant (DSA)/ Direct Support Professional (DSP)

PROGRAM AREA: Monitored Residential Homes

POSITION OPENS: 4/10/2024.

Northern Hills Training Center (NHTC) is seeking part-time. Would you like to support individuals to lead self-directed & meaningful lives? Are you looking for 12-24 hours a week to fill a void and make additional income? This may be the job for you!

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Provide in-home, direct support to people with Developmental Disabilities. Job duties include:

• 
  Supporting people in becoming a part of their community.
• 
  Implementing and teaching individual support programs.
• 
  Identifying peoples training needs and preferences in collaboration with team members.
• 
  Supporting peoples daily routine activities, such as appearance and hygiene.
• 
  Supporting peoples medical needs, such as medication administration and diet support.
• 
  Supporting people to obtain personal outcomes.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 
  Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
• 
  Must be well organized and able to work with minimal supervision.

HOURS:

• 
  Minimum of 16 hours per week & up.

WAGES:

• 
  $16.25 per hour base pay for Direct Support Assistant/ $17.42 per hour pay for Direct Support Professional
