Job Description

Position : Packaging Engineer

Location : Louisville, Kentucky – will work remotely for first few months and then will be in the plant 5 days a week

Duration : 1 year contract

Pay Rate: $35-40/hour depending on years of experience

Travel : None

OT : Occasionally

Shift : 7am-4pm

Qualifications:

• Bachelors Degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering
• 5+ years of experience in packing parts of a vehicle
• 5+ years of experience using catia, teamcenter, pack assistant, and autocad

Plusses:

• Automotive experience
• Robotic automation experience

Day to Day:

Insight Global is looking for a Packaging Engineer in the Louisville, Kentucky area. The Packaging Engineer will be aiding in the launch of a new EV project. The engineer will be responsible for working with internal teams and vehicle part suppliers to discuss the packaging and ensure that it is meeting all needed requirements. The engineer will be responsible for being heavily organized and planning any standing meetings with necessary teams and being responsible for approving of package contents and requirements.
