Join to apply for the Non-CDL Local Delivery Driver role at FreshPoint, Inc.
Position Purpose: All drivers run daily routes with frequent stops and are required to load packages onto hand trucks and unload product at each stop on the assigned route as designated by the Transportation Department Manager. The candidate will operate successfully in a cross dock model, picking up loaded trucks from nightly deliveries at the assigned dock and returning empty trucks to the lot at the end of the route. May occasionally assist with loading trucks, palletizing, and other duties as assigned by supervisors or managers.
Starting Pay: $20.14/hour
Primary Responsibilities:
- Run routes efficiently, meeting or exceeding designated times.
- Unload products from trailers using hand carts, transporting them to customer storage areas, and handling products weighing 1-75 pounds, up to 100 pounds.
- Verify deliveries with customers, obtain signatures, and communicate discrepancies or errors to management.
- Handle customer complaints professionally.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections following DOT regulations and company policies.
Minimum Requirements:
- High School diploma or GED.
- One year route delivery experience or relevant driving background.
- Valid Drivers License.
- Ability to read and understand English.
