Characteristics of Work
Under the direction of the Children’s Services Director, the Mentor Teacher will provide mentoring to classroom staff through guidance, coaching, modeling, training, support, and information in the following areas (CLASS, TS Gold, Classroom Management, Curriculum planning/lesson plans, classroom set up, Transitions, and other areas as identified).
This position works closely with the teaching staff and the Children’s Services Director to coordinate classroom-related activities that support staff Professional Development and contribute to successful child outcomes.
Qualifications
A Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field, two (2) years experience working with preschool children and families in a child development program, and the ability to communicate effectively.
