Summary:
Seeking a Sr. Mechanical Engineer with expertise in machinery and automation design.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering
- 5+ years of experience
- Strong SolidWorks skills
- Experience with machinery, automation, and tooling design
- Experience with pneumatic systems, linear actuators, and precision linear motion components
- Proficient with 2D CAD software
Preferred Skills:
- Vault Product Data Management management experience
- Coordinated motion design to support programming
- Familiarity with CADLink ERP Link software
- 2 years of supervisory experience
Responsibilities:
- Produce equipment designs for machines and tooling
- Provide engineering support throughout the build phase to improve functionality, manufacturability, and maintainability while reducing cost
- Facilitate communication among customers and sales team ensuring specifications, budgets, and deadlines are understood
- Review designs for technical accuracy, manufacturability, maintainability within project budget and timing constraints
- Use CAD software to create preliminary and detailed product drawings
- Produce specifications for products; choose raw materials and components for production
- Use ERP software to monitor project budget and timing goals
