Responsibilities include:

  • Design & Engineering : Support mechnical engineers with the development of cooling system designs, piping/ instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), 3D models, and specifications for Coolant Distribution Units (CDUs), chillers, pumps, heat exchangers, and related components.
  • Solution Development : Architect custom cooling configurations that optimize redundancy, energy efficiency, and modular scalability.
  • Customer Collaboration : Engage with clients and OEM partners to understand technical requirements; prepare proposals, technical drawings, and detailed Bill of Materials (BOMs).
  • Technical Presentations : Educate customers and internal stakeholders through technical training, design reviews, and whiteboard discussions.
  • Application Support : Provide engineering support during bidding and early implementation phases; review design-build packages and support commissioning handover.
  • Standards & Compliance : Ensure designs align with industry standards (ASHRAE, NFPA), electrical/mechanical codes, and internal quality processes.
  • Cross-Functional Coordination : Collaborate with electrical, structural, and controls engineers to integrate comprehensive infrastructure solutions.
  • Continuous Improvement : Evaluate industry trends and emerging technologies such as rack-based and liquid cooling, and propose enhancements to our product offerings.

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • 3+ years of experience designing mechanical HVAC or cooling solutions for data centers or mission-critical environments.
  • Experience with chillers, pumps, and liquid cooling systems.
  • Proficiency in CAD tools (AutoCAD, Revit, SolidWorks) and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD)/thermal simulation.
  • Solid grasp of ASHRAE standards, piping/ instrumentation diagrams (P&ID), and selection of mechanical components.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; adept at technical training and client interaction.
  • Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail.
  • Willingness to travel (10–25%) for customer meetings or facility visits.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Experience with Coolant Distribution Units (CDUs) is highly desired.
  • Experience with rack-mounted and/or liquid cooling systems.
