Job Description

Our client, a global specialist in energy management and automation, is actively looking for a Logistics Coordinator to join their Global Security department in Foxboro, MA! This role is onsite so local candidates are required.

***This is an initial 1 year contract position with the opportunity to extend or convert***

This Logistics Coordinator will effectively manage and deliver security system equipment domestically and internationally, ensuring that the company is timely, cost-effective, and compliant with custom regulations and documentation, while building strong internal relationships. This involves optimizing logistics, managing inventory, and documentational accuracy!

Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute international logistics including coordinating shipments, managing customs documentation, and ensuring compliance
  • Monitor progress of shipments, prepare necessary documentation, awareness of regulatory requirements, identify potential delays and take steps to expedite delivery when necessary
  • Maintain communication with project stakeholders, suppliers, and carriers to provide updates, address concerns, and ensure seamless shipping process
  • Analyze shipping costs, rates, and other expenses to identify opportunities for cost savings and optimization
  • Prepare procurement and shipping reports to assist in identifying trends for forecasting
  • Procure materials through OEM in support of security installation projects
  • Assist in tracking financial documentation as it pertains to project materials and security related materials
  • Ensure accuracy of all ingoing and outgoing documentation as it pertains to procurement, shipping, and receiving for Global Security

Required Skills & Experience

  • Undergraduate degree is required
  • 2+ years of international logistics experience
  • Familiarity with customs brokerage and imports/exports operations
  • Strong communication skills for interacting with carriers, freight forwarders, and internal stakeholders
  • Strong understanding of international regulations and customs procedures with the ability to identify and resolve logistics issues and delays
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite
