Job Title: Oncology Pharmacist
Location: Edison, NJ
Schedule: 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM, or 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Every third weekend required | No holidays | No on-call | No float
Pay Rate: $85–$88/hour | $3,400/wk - $3,520/wk
After Tax: $2,550/wk - $2,640/wk (rough estimate)
Job Summary:
We are currently seeking a Staff Pharmacist to join our Pharmacy team on a contract/per diem basis. The pharmacist will be responsible for the safe preparation, review, and dispensing of medications, including chemotherapy, in accordance with state and federal regulations, as well as institutional policies. The ideal candidate will have acute care experience and a solid background in chemotherapy review and preparation.

Key Responsibilities:
Dispense and monitor medication therapy in compliance with all applicable regulations
Ensure accurate preparation and handling of controlled substances and investigational drugs
Review and clarify medication orders; monitor patient therapy for allergies and interactions
Prepare IV admixtures, including TPN and chemotherapy, using aseptic techniques in a USP 800-compliant environment
Perform unit inspections and ensure proper medication storage and labeling
Supervise Pharmacy Technicians and support staff
Utilize safe medication practices and adhere to departmental procedures
Communicate effectively with patients and healthcare providers, adapting to specific patient needs
