The Opportunity:
We are seeking a Junior Platform Engineer to develop, build, and deploy full stack systems for our customer's advanced collection systems. You will help shape the next generation of systems, working with a team of professional engineers and computer scientists. This role involves domestic and international travel. The position requires being in-office 100% in Sterling, VA.
Responsibilities:
Build and deploy physical and virtualized systems at customer locations
Provide continuous integration support for deployed systems
Integrate third-party software into our systems
Manage Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) at platform and application levels
Design next-generation systems and assist in migrating from RHEL7 to RHEL8
Maintain local systems to mirror customer environments
Assist developers with RPMs and containers
Qualifications:
Required:
Ability to work independently and in teams
Strong interpersonal skills
3+ years in Systems Administration, DevOps, or Platform Engineering
Innovative system design ideas
Linux administration experience including package management, security, virtualization
Experience with IaC for system configuration
Bachelor’s degree in relevant field or equivalent experience
Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility
DoD 8570 IAT Level 2 certification (Security+ CE or better)
Desired:
Experience with Agile frameworks
Building/deploying Docker and Kubernetes
Familiarity with Cisco IOS/NXOS
Building RPMs in RedHat architecture
Knowledge of Git, Puppet modules

Pay Range: $72,700 - $149,200, based on various factors including experience, location, and certifications.
