IP Core Network Administrator Nokia / Ciena TEKsystems is seeking multiple Remote IP Core Network Engineers to provide core network monitoring and support for our Alaska-based ISP. This is a contract-to-hire position, fully remote. Responsibilities Monitor and support the local area IP core network, including complex client-server environments. Install, configure, troubleshoot, and maintain systems, applications, security, and network configurations. Manage data communications hardware and software, including Nokia, Cisco, Brocade, and Juniper IP/MPLS routers and switches. Perform daily operational checks, preventative maintenance, and system upgrades. Coordinate network resource management, review performance, and generate reports. Ensure network security and compliance with SLAs. Support incident resolution, including outages and intermittent issues, especially related to wireless and 5G technologies. Maintain network documentation, inventory, and lifecycle management. Collaborate with engineering teams for network planning and optimization. Qualifications Experience managing large network platforms and using Visio. Knowledge of routing, multicasting, high availability, security, and standards. Experience with SNMP, Remedy, Metasolv, Statseeker, Cacti, Cisco Prime, and X-windows recommended. Certifications such as Cisco CCNA, Nokia NRS-I, CCNP, Nokia NRS-II, SCTE DEP are highly valued. Ability to handle moderate stress and demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills. Workplace & Compensation This is a fully remote role with a pay range of $50.00 - $65.00/hr.
