Job Description

The Capacity Management Coordinator manages patient flow and bed placement within the hospital, supporting admissions, discharges, and transfers to optimize throughput.

• Initially based at South for training, with a temporary assignment at Branson, and flexible long-term work locations including the main command center or other sites.
  
  
• Collaborates with nursing, case management, and support departments to identify and resolve barriers to patient discharge and transfer.
  
  
• Sets capacity targets based on staffing and bed needs, and facilitates transfers by matching clinical requirements with bed availability.
  
  
• Works closely with referring facilities, physicians, and hospital staff, reporting trends and barriers.
  
  
• Requires RN licensure in Missouri, with preferred experience in clinical settings such as Emergency Services or Transfer Centers, and strong communication, problem-solving, and multitasking skills.
