Job Title: Chief Technology Officer or CTO
Location: Mountain View, CA
Job Type: Permanent
MUST HAVES:
15+ years of software design, architecture, and implementation experience
Minimum of 3 Years of experience at a gaming company, with 3 years at a Massive Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game (MMORPG) company preferred
Familiar with various engineering stacks, specifically Java and C++, game technologies, back-end and front-end technologies, mobile, and a broad range of APIs
A track record of building and leading strong engineering teams. Engineers enjoy working for and with you. You motivate and inspire your team. You enjoy mentoring and developing talent
Bachelor's degree in computer science, math, or engineering
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead our technology organization, including game engineers and server engineers across Mountain View, CA, and Seoul, South Korea. Responsibilities include team structure, recruiting, setting standards of excellence, mentoring, and developing engineering talent. Cultivate a culture of collaboration, speed, learning, scalability, and excellence.
Provide technical leadership and oversight for projects over the next two years, such as integrating third-party learning apps with our Adaptive Learning Platform, transferring the game to Unity, making Hoodoo English cross-platform and multiplayer, evolving game services, and incorporating speech recognition technology.
Guide the evolution of our Adaptive Learning Platform and overall technology infrastructure and architecture. Be hands-on in implementation.
As a senior executive, participate actively in strategic and operational decisions.
Benefits include medical and dental insurance. The CTO will have 3+ direct reports and report to the CEO. The role requires travel to South Korea 4-6 times a year.
Qualifications
