Summary of Role
As a Caregiver, your primary mission will be to provide compassionate daily nursing care and services tailored to each resident's unique needs, as outlined in their assessment and care plan. You'll be an essential part of our team, ensuring that our residents feel valued and cared for.

Essential Job Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities
- Perform simple procedures as an extension of therapy services under the direction of the nurse, such as range of motion exercises and assistance in ambulation.
- Provide personal care activities including bathing, grooming, dressing, and oral hygiene.
- Handle household services essential to health care at home, including meal preparation, laundry, and light housekeeping.
- Initiate and participate in leisure activities, encouraging residents to socialize and build friendships.
- Observe and document the health and emotional condition of each resident, promptly reporting changes to the nurse.
- Respond promptly to resident requests for assistance and emergency pull cords.
- Promote personal safety and a safe environment by following infection control practices and reporting unsafe situations.
- Assist residents in preparing for appointments and social programs.
- Help with moving and transporting residents as needed.
- Support residents in walking with or without self-help devices as instructed.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Ability to make independent decisions, follow instructions, and accept constructive criticism.
- Tactful communication with personnel, residents, family members, and the general public.
- Comfortable working with ill, disabled, elderly, and emotionally upset individuals.
- Proficient in speaking, writing, and understanding English for effective communication.
Education and Experience
- Must be a licensed Certified Nursing Assistant or a licensed Medication Assistant in accordance with state laws.
- Preferred: 6 months or more of experience in a home care, assisted living, or long-term care facility.
