Job Title: Capital Markets Associate Principal – Securitization
Location: Tampa, FL 33602
Employment Type: Full-Time, Exempt
Compensation: Base salary of $200,000 with total compensation ranging from $400,000–$450,000 (cash + equity), commensurate with experience. Compensation is flexible for top-tier talent.
About the Role
Wheeler Staffing Partners is actively seeking a Capital Markets Associate Principal – Securitization for a high-impact, high-visibility role with a growing mortgage and capital markets platform based in Tampa, FL . This is an exceptional opportunity for a securitization professional with deep expertise in residential whole loan transactions , including Non-QM, DSCR, and business purpose loans .
This is a hands-on role ideal for candidates who are well-versed in the full transaction lifecycle —from structuring and pricing to settlement and post-close execution. The selected individual will engage directly with senior leadership, investors, banks, and external partners , playing a key role in strategic capital markets initiatives.
Work Environment
- Schedule: Onsite required 5 days/week (especially during onboarding). Hybrid flexibility may be considered in the future (3 days onsite, 2 remote).
- Office Locations: Tampa, FL preferred
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and execute securitization transactions across residential loan portfolios including Non-QM, DSCR, SFR, Bridge , and business-purpose loans.
- Manage deal lifecycle from inception to close: timeline creation, documentation, diligence coordination, and settlement execution.
- Act as the primary liaison between internal stakeholders and external parties such as investment banks, trustees, legal counsel, custodians, and rating agencies .
- Oversee whole loan trading logistics for both acquisitions and dispositions.
- Utilize and optimize internal technology solutions to streamline processes and enhance deal execution efficiency.
- Maintain strong relationships with key capital markets partners to support ongoing and future transactions.
Qualifications
- Minimum 8 years of direct, hands-on securitization experience in residential mortgage capital markets.
- Proven background in whole loan transactions and end-to-end deal execution.
- Deep knowledge of Non-QM, DSCR, Bridge , and other business-purpose loan products.
- Strong understanding of fixed income markets , deal structuring, and loan-level analytics.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and VBA required.
- Prior experience working for or with a loan aggregator or capital markets securitization platform is a significant plus.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interface with senior leadership, legal teams, rating agencies, and investors.
- Bachelor’s degree required; major in Finance, Economics, or a related field preferred.
