Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Android Developer with expertise in Kotlin for a 1-year remote consulting role. The candidate will design, develop, and maintain high-quality Android applications, with a preference for experience in the retail industry. This role requires strong collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver seamless, user-focused mobile solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Android applications using Kotlin.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and backend teams to implement features.
- Optimize app performance, scalability, and user experience.
- Ensure code quality through testing, debugging, and adherence to best practices.
- Integrate APIs and third-party services, with a focus on retail-specific functionalities (e.g., e-commerce, POS, inventory).
- Stay updated on Android SDK, Kotlin, and mobile development trends.
Required Qualifications
- 3-5+ years of Android development experience.
- Proficiency in Kotlin and Android Studio.
- Experience with MVVM, Jetpack components, and RESTful APIs.
- Strong understanding of UI/UX principles and responsive design.
- Familiarity with Git and Agile methodologies.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Retail industry experience (e-commerce, POS, inventory management) is a significant advantage.
- Knowledge of Coroutines, Room, and Dagger/Hilt.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing.
- Familiarity with Firebase or other analytics tools.
