Job Description

A Systems Engineering job, in Bothell, WA 98021, is currently available at Belcan supporting our key aerospace clients. To be considered for this role, you will have a Bachelors Degree and at least 5 years of relevant experience in systems engineering with exposure to any of the following disciplines: system architecture, design, integration, verification and validation, technical program management, cross-functional leadership, technical issue resolution, or product management.

Job Duties:

* Requirements analysis, definition and management, including but not limited to functional analysis, performance analysis, system architecture and design, and systems integration.

* Perform Verification planning and develop V&V plans, procedures, and reports.

* Apply systems engineering methodologies to aerospace components, control systems, power units, or related systems.

* Understand and apply regulatory standards to certify design packages.

* Work complex programs with multi-disciplinary engineering teams.

* Mentor and guide other engineers on technical designs or processes.

Required Qualifications:

* Bachelors Degree in Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field.

* 5+ years of systems engineering experience.

* Experience working in multi-disciplinary design and development teams.

* Proven system engineering experience in full life cycle design on military or civil programs.

* Thorough understanding of requirements management, functional requirements parsing, derivation, and allocation; systems design, systems integration, technical risk identification and management strategies, and Verification and Validation (V&V) principles

* Experience applying aerospace engineering standards.

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications & Skills:

* Strong problem-solving skills and creative thinker motivated to apply technical standards and methodologies to develop solutions.

* Collaborative team player with the ability to provide technical leadership and position others for success.

* Self-starter that can perform independently with minimal direction.

* Experience with missile systems, components, and certification.

* Experience using typical Systems Engineering requirements management tools (e.g. DOORS, Jama, Cameo).

* Familiarity with model-based design.

Compensation:

We provide a competitive pay and benefits package. This position is offering a salary rate of $120,000-150,000, however, Belcan considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to education, experience, geographic location, and discipline. Benefits offered may include health care, dental, vision, life insurance; 401(k); education assistance; paid time off including PTO, holidays, and any other paid leave required by law.
